REPORTING AND EXCUSING STUDENT ABSENCES-If a parent or guardian wishes to report and/or excuse a student absence, please call the attendance line – available 24 hours a day – by dialing the main school telephone number 902-384-2320 and pressing “1.” In order for an absence to be excused, we must receive notice within three school days of the absence. Emails and calls to the main office line will not be accepted.

MAIN OFFICE REMINDER-The Administrative Assistant, Ms. Deale, is away from her desk from 12-1PM. If you call the school and leave a message during this time, please be aware, it will not be retrieved until after 1PM. Ms. Deale is also on break from 3:15-3:30pm and calls made during this time will be retrieved after 3:30pm.

MRHS COMMUNITY BADMINTON-Community Badminton takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm for all interested.  The cost to play is $1 per person nightly to help offset the cost of shuttles. Come out and enjoy, everyone is welcome! New COVID regulations apply.

TABLE TENNIS-The following Mondays are scheduled for play at the school. April 4, 11, 25, May 2 & 9, 2022 from 6:30-8pm. We have a PROVINCIAL tournament scheduled for our school on April 9, 2022.

MRHS BOOK CLUB IS BACK-Book club is starting back up. Join Ms. Stewart and Halifax Public Libraries today at lunch in the library. 

JUNIOR BOYS BASKETBALL Congratulations to the Junior Boys Basketball team on a successful game at SCA yesterday. The boys will be moving forward to the division two finals! There is a team meeting at recess in Ms. Carroll's room.

KNOWLEDGE FAIR The junior high Knowledge Fair will be held Thursday after lunch in the cafeteria. Senior high students are invited to come and check out the projects during last period, with teacher's permission.

JUNIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL The Jr. Girls basketball team played a tough game against SCA yesterday. Despite the loss, they played their hearts out and put in an excellent effort. Ms. Payne is so happy with the improvement and enthusiasm shown over the season. Great work girls!

SENIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL The senior girls basketball team ended their season last night with a heartbreaking loss by one point! The girls outplayed Pugwash the second half and made a 20 point comeback! Their heart and hustle is what true mustang pride is all about! It was a short but sweet season ladies!
