SENIOR PROM MEETING-There will be a SENIOR PROM meeting Thursday, March 28th in room 2216 for any seniors that are interested in planning for prom on June 6th. This year's theme is Old Hollywood. Everyone interested is asked to attend!

GARDEN CLUB-There will be a meeting for all students that are interested on Thursday, March 28th, in the Family Studies room (12:15pm) for a lunchtime information session. Our community's Thoughtful Food Project is working with Ms. Pye and Mrs. Doucette to start a new club: the Garden Hacks. This is not your nanny's typical garden club! Club members will be considered volunteers of the Thoughtful Food Project, which holds lots of value on resumes and post-secondary applications. The Club is all about hands-on learning, meeting and working with outside experts in all areas of science, and systems thinking. Don't know what systems-thinking is? All the more reason to join! No matter your future career, system-thinkers are the game-changers that rise to the top. Members in good standing will be able to use Club leaders as references for other endeavors.

MRHS MERCH STORE-The MRHS Merch Store is now being hosted in room 1308 every Thursday.

PARENT/TEACHER INTERVIEW DATES FOR APRIL 2019-Parent/Teacher Interviews for Junior and Senior High will take place in the MRHS gymnasium on the evening of Wednesday, April 10th from 6-8pm and the afternoon of Thursday, April 11th from 1-3pm. Appointments are not required as interviews are conducted on a first come first serve basis. THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES FOR STUDENTS ON THURSDAY, APRIL 11TH AND ALL STUDENTS WILL HAVE REGULARLY SCHEDULED CLASSES ON TUESDAY, APRIL 30TH! Please be aware that due to the fact that we are a combined Junior/Senior High School that these dates and times may differ from those that are listed on the Halifax Regional Centre for Education's 2018-2019 Calendar.

OPTIONS & OPPORTUNITIES APPLICATIONS-Grade 9 O2 applications are due on March 29th to Ms. Baker in room 2305. Please see Ms. Baker for application forms if you need a new one.

MORNING SUPERVISION-Students are reminded to remain in the Cafeteria when arriving in the mornings until the 8:40am bell goes and supervision begins for the day.

HRM OPEN GYM-There will be open gym here at MRHS on Tuesday and Friday nights from 7-9pm.

BADMINTON-Badminton takes place in the MRHS Gym every Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. The drop in fee is $1 and all are welcome!

REPORTING AND EXCUSING STUDENT ABSENCES-If a parent or guardian wishes to report and/or excuse a student absence, please call the attendance line – available 24 hours a day – by dialing the main school telephone number and pressing “1.” Written notes will also be accepted at the main office. In order for an absence to be excused, we must receive notice within three school days of the absence. Emails and calls to the main office line will not be accepted.

HELP KEEP OUR HALLWAYS CLEAN-Students are asked not to leave their book bags and/or knapsacks in the hallways unattended. Food and drinks are permitted in the cafeteria and outside only, please be sure to utilize the recyclable and garbage bins available throughout the building. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter!

POTENTIAL GRADS-SCHOLARSHIPS & BURSARIES-Potential Grads are reminded to check in the outer guidance office for scholarship/bursary applications on the "Scholarship Table". Please see Ms. MacKenzie Boudreau for more information.

SIGN IN-All students are reminded to sign-in at the main office if you arrive after the 8:55am bell, which marks the beginning of first class. Even for Senior High students a parent's sign-in signature, phone call, or a note is required when arriving late.

ELEVATOR USE-Unless a student has permission from the Main Office and a specific need to use the elevator, it is off limits for student use.

LOST & FOUND-Please check the Lost & Found outside the Cafeteria for any missing items. Smaller items such as eyeglasses, jewellery or electronics may be at the Main Office.
