SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL-The Senior Boys Basketball team played an exciting game in Brookfield yesterday against SCA taking the lead early on. Unfortunately, the game came to an end with the Mustang’s down by three, with a final score of 68-65. It will be a great rematch when the Wolves visit the Mustang’s on our home court, so stay tuned and when the time comes be sure to come out and support your Mustang’s!

JUNIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS-There will be Junior Girls Basketball tryouts Tuesday at lunch, Tuesday after school from 3-4:30pm, Wed at lunch and Fri and lunch. Please be ready to go for 12:30pm for lunch time try-outs!

GIRLS CHAT-Girls Group meets today instead of Thursday for this week only in the YHC during lunch break.

JUNIOR BOYS BASKETBALL-There will be Junior Boys Basketball Tryouts at lunch this Wednesday and Friday. There will be no after school tryouts for the boys this week!

HRM OPEN GYM-There will be open gym at MRHS on Tuesday and Friday nights from 7-9pm.

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL-There will be Senior Boys Basketball Practice on Wednesday & Friday of this week from 5-7pm.

DECEMBER DANCE ELIGIBILITY-The list of students that are not eligible to attend the December dance will be posted Wednesday morning. If you were not eligible to attend the last dance and have not turned in your forms and fees since then you have until the end of the day Tuesday, December 4th to do so. Changes will not be made to the list once it has been posted.

GRADE 9 TRIP FUNDRAISER-Students going on the Grade 9 trip are selling long sleeve shirts with the winning Mustang logo design on the front. Pre-orders will be taken from now until December 6th. Students will be set up in the main foyer to accept payment and orders. Shirts are $20 each!

MRHS BOOK CLUB-Every Tuesday at 12:10pm join Mr. Moore and staff from the Halifax Regional Library as they discuss the plots of books that Book Club members have chosen to read.

REPORTING AND EXCUSING STUDENT ABSENCES-If a parent or guardian wishes to report and/or excuse a student absence, please call the attendance line – available 24 hours a day – by dialing the main school telephone number and pressing “1.” Written notes will also be accepted at the main office. In order for an absence to be excused, we must receive notice within three school days of the absence. Emails and calls to the main office line will not be accepted.

HELP KEEP OUR HALLWAYS CLEAN-Students are asked not to leave their book bags and/or knapsacks in the hallways unattended. Food and drinks are permitted in the cafeteria and outside only, please be sure to utilize the recyclable and garbage bins available throughout the building. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter!

POTENTIAL GRADS-SCHOLARSHIPS & BURSARIES-Potential Grads are reminded to check in the outer guidance office for scholarship/bursary applications on the "Scholarship Table". Please see Ms. MacKenzie Boudreau for more information.

SIGN IN-All students are reminded to sign-in at the main office if you arrive after the 8:55am bell, which marks the beginning of first class. Even for Senior High students a parent's sign-in signature, phone call, or a note is required when arriving late.

ELEVATOR USE-Unless a student has permission from the Main Office and a specific need to use the elevator, it is off limits for student use.

LOST & FOUND-Please check the Lost & Found outside the Cafeteria for any missing items. Smaller items such as eyeglasses, jewellery or electronics may be at the Main Office.
