NUTRITION WORKSHOP-Pause Wellness Centre is offering a Nutrition Workshop today at lunch in the Youth Health Centre. Come in and sample a homemade energy bar!

SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITY-Do you have a passion for soccer?  Are you looking for a summer job or volunteer opportunity?  Royal City Soccer Club is running soccer day camps in Dartmouth and Halifax and they are looking for staff.  More information is available in the Guidance Office.

NATIONAL GYPSUM BURSARY-Application forms for the National Gypsum Bursary are available in the Guidance Office.  If you are interested in applying for this award, please pick up an application from Mr. McQueen.  The application deadline is May 31st.

NURSING SCHOLARSHIP-Any graduating student who is planning to enroll in an RN or LPN program in September is asked to drop into the Guidance Office today to see Mr. McQueen about a scholarship opportunity.

JUNIOR GIRLS SOFTBALL-Junior Girls Softball Practice will be held today from 3:15-4:30pm at MVEC. Bring your glove!

BIG COVE TRIP-All Grade 9 students going to Big Cove are reminded to bring their forms in to Ms. Boutilier ASAP!

BAKE SALE-There will be a bake again today at lunch outside the cafeteria doors as a fundraiser for the Big Cove trip!

TRACK & FIELD-Team fees and permission slips can be given to Ms. Isenor today.

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL-A reminder to the member of the Senior Boys Basketball Team that has not yet paid for his Jersey, that the money is long overdue. Please make payment at the main office today! If your son was on the team and received a jersey please check with him to be sure that he has made payment as we still have one student that has not paid.

CHESS CLUB-Chess Club takes place beginning at 12:20pm during lunch break in Mr. Christian's room; 2211. Be there or be "square!"

MRHS BOOK CLUB-MRHS Book Club takes place in the Library every Wednesday during the lunch break.

TABLE TENNIS-Table Tennis will run Monday evenings from 6:30-9pm.

REPORTING AND EXCUSING STUDENT ABSENCES-If a parent or guardian wishes to report and/or excuse a student absence, please call the attendance line – available 24 hours a day – by dialing the main school telephone number and pressing “1.” Written notes will also be accepted at the main office. In order for an absence to be excused, we must receive notice within three school days of the absence. Emails and calls to the main office line will not be accepted.

HELP KEEP OUR HALLWAYS CLEAN-Students are asked not to leave their book bags and/or knapsacks in the hallways unattended. Food and drinks are permitted in the cafeteria and outside only, please be sure to utilize the recyclable and garbage bins available throughout the building. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter!

POTENTIAL GRADS-SCHOLARSHIPS & BURSARIES-Potential Grads are reminded to check in the outer guidance office for scholarship/bursary applications on the "Scholarship Table". Please see Ms. MacKenzie Boudreau for more information.

SIGN IN-All students are reminded to sign-in at the main office if you arrive after the 8:50am bell, which marks the beginning of first class. Even for Senior High students, these will only be "excused" if we have a parent's sign-in signature, phone call, or a note.

ELEVATOR USE-Unless a student has permission from the Main Office and a specific need to use the elevator, it is off limits for student use.

LOST & FOUND-Please check the Lost & Found outside the Cafeteria for any missing items. Smaller items such as eyeglasses, jewellery or electronics may be at the Main Office.
