REPORTING AND EXCUSING STUDENT ABSENCES-If a parent or guardian wishes to report and/or excuse a student absence, please call the attendance line – available 24 hours a day – by dialing the main school telephone number 902-384-2320 and pressing “1.” In order for an absence to be excused, we must receive notice within three school days of the absence. Emails and calls to the main office line will not be accepted.

MAIN OFFICE REMINDER-The Administrative Assistant, Ms. Deale, is away from her desk from 12-1PM. If you call the school and leave a message during this time, please be aware, it will not be retrieved until after 1PM. Ms. Deale is also on break from 3:15-3:30pm and calls made during this time will be retrieved after 3:30pm.

COMMUNITY BADMINTON-Community Badminton takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm for all interested.  The cost to play is $1 per person nightly to help offset the cost of shuttles. Come out and enjoy, everyone is welcome!

TABLE TENNIS-The following Mondays are scheduled for play at the school. May 2 & 9, 2022 from 6:30-8pm.

FUNDRAISER FOR SENIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL-The Senior girls basketball team will be doing an in-school fundraiser to raise money for the purchase of new basketball jerseys for next school year. On Monday’s, the Team will be taking pre-orders and payment (outside of the gym during lunch break) for a breaded chicken burger and drink to have at lunch on Tuesday’s. A chicken burger & drink combo will be $4.00. As part of the fundraiser, Moday's will also be Mike & Ike Monday where you can buy a box of Mike & Ikes for $2. DUE TO A SHORTAGE OF MIKE & IKES THE TEAM WILL BE SELLING SKITTLES INSTEAD FOR $2!!

BOYS SOFTBALL There will be a boys softball tryout Thursday from 3-4:30pm next door at MVEC. Please see Ms. Probert for details or if you cannot attend but are interested.

GIRLS SOFTBALL The sign up for girls softball is now open to juniors, please be sure to add your name to the list outside the gym by the end of the day Friday if you are interested in playing girls softball this season. For everyone who is already signed up or is thinking about signing up, there will be a quick meeting at recess in Ms. Johnston's room (2205) at recess on Thursday (April 28th).

PRE CAL 12 PERMISSION FORMS All students formerly in Ms. McInnis' PreCalculus 12 class are reminded to pick up their permission form for the escape room, and return it to her no later than May 9th. Make with the hasty.

TRACK & FIELD There will be a track and field practice at lunch today and also after school from 3-4:30. Please make sure you have a drive home at 4:30pm.

LOST & FOUND Lost & Found items have been organized and placed on tables for students to check for any items that belong to you. Please be sure to take a look asap as any remaining items will be donated to charity on Friday May, 6th.
