REPORTING AND EXCUSING STUDENT ABSENCES-If a parent or guardian wishes to report and/or excuse a student absence, please call the attendance line – available 24 hours a day – by dialing the main school telephone number 902-384-2320 and pressing “1.” In order for an absence to be excused, we must receive notice within three school days of the absence. Emails and calls to the main office line will not be accepted.

MAIN OFFICE REMINDER-The Administrative Assistant, Ms. Deale, is away from her desk from 12-1PM. If you call the school and leave a message during this time, please be aware, it will not be retrieved until after 1PM. Ms. Deale is also on break from 3:15-3:30pm and calls made during this time will be retrieved after 3:30pm.

MRHS COMMUNITY BADMINTON-Community Badminton takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm for all interested.  The cost to play is $1 per person nightly to help offset the cost of shuttles. Come out and enjoy, everyone is welcome! New COVID regulations apply.

TABLE TENNIS-The following Mondays are scheduled for play at the school. March 28, April 4, 11, 25, May 2 & 9, 2022 from 6:30-8pm. We have a PROVINCIAL tournament scheduled for our school on April 9, 2022.

FUNDRAISER FOR UKRAINIANS-On Friday, March 25th from 10:45am-12:15pm the grade 9 Citizenship class is hosting a fundraiser to help Ukrainians. There will be carnival style games, a bake sale, popcorn and hotdogs available. You can buy tickets to play games and purchase food. Check out the bulletin board in the foyer for more info!

TABLE TENNIS PRACTICE-There will be table tennis practice afterschool on Monday, March 28th from 3-4:30pm.

MRHS BOOK CLUB IS BACK-Book club is starting back up. Join Ms. Stewart and Halifax Public Libraries  on Wednesday, March 30th at lunch in the library. If you have any questions or want to join, pop in and see Ms. Stewart in the library the days leading up to the first meeting of 2022.

JUNIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL-The Jr. Girls Basketball team played a great game against Hants North yesterday. Despite the loss, the girls played  very well together and worked hard. Ms. Payne is so proud of the improvement since the start of the year. Keep up the fantastic work girls!
