"THOUGHTFUL FOOD PROJECT" FOOD DRIVE-Ms. Knox's and Ms.Cunningham's pod group is hosting a food drive for our local food bank in support of the thoughtful food project. With each non perishable food item you bring in you will receive a ballet towards winning a $50 gift card for footlocker or free cafeteria food for a week. Bring items to room 1308 in the morning for your ballot. The draw will happen at the symposium.
JUNIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL-All Junior High girls interested in playing basketball this year please attend a meeting at recess in the gymnasium.
GRAD PHOTO ORDERS-Pridham's will be here Thursday, November 8th at lunch to take orders for Grad Photos.
STUDENT LEADERSHIP-Can all Student Leadership members please meet is Ms. Probert’s room (1209) today at lunch.
MRHS BOOKCLUB UPDATE-MRHS Book Club is being moved to today at lunchtime for this week only. All members and new members are invited to the Library to discuss The Lie Tree while they enjoy their lunches.
ACADIA REP-There will be a representative here from Acadia University on Wednesday, November 7th at noon in the outer guidance office. Any current grade 12 student is welcome to come in for on the spot free admission at this time. Any other interested students are welcome to drop by and ask any questions.

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL-There will be Senior Boys Basketball Practice on Wednesday & Friday of this week from 5-7pm. Players are reminded to let Ms. Deale or the Coach know if you are unable to make it to practice and also to return your forms to the main office by Friday!
SOCCER JERSEYS-All Soccer players are reminded to return their jerseys to their coaches asap!
BADMINTON-Badminton takes place in the MRHS Gym every Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. The drop in fee is $1 and all are welcome!
MRHS BOOK CLUB-Every Wednesday at 12:10pm join Mr. Moore and staff from the Halifax Regional Library as they discuss the plots of books that Book Club members have chosen to read.
HRM OPEN GYM-There will be open gym here at MRHS on Tuesday and Friday nights from 7-9pm.
REPORTING AND EXCUSING STUDENT ABSENCES-If a parent or guardian wishes to report and/or excuse a student absence, please call the attendance line – available 24 hours a day – by dialing the main school telephone number and pressing “1.” Written notes will also be accepted at the main office. In order for an absence to be excused, we must receive notice within three school days of the absence. Emails and calls to the main office line will not be accepted.
HELP KEEP OUR HALLWAYS CLEAN-Students are asked not to leave their book bags and/or knapsacks in the hallways unattended. Food and drinks are permitted in the cafeteria and outside only, please be sure to utilize the recyclable and garbage bins available throughout the building. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter!
POTENTIAL GRADS-SCHOLARSHIPS & BURSARIES-Potential Grads are reminded to check in the outer guidance office for scholarship/bursary applications on the "Scholarship Table". Please see Ms. MacKenzie Boudreau for more information.
SIGN IN-All students are reminded to sign-in at the main office if you arrive after the 8:55am bell, which marks the beginning of first class. Even for Senior High students a parent's sign-in signature, phone call, or a note is required when arriving late.
ELEVATOR USE-Unless a student has permission from the Main Office and a specific need to use the elevator, it is off limits for student use.
LOST & FOUND-Please check the Lost & Found outside the Cafeteria for any missing items. Smaller items such as eyeglasses, jewellery or electronics may be at the Main Office.
