ST FX REP-There will be a representative here from St. F.X University today at recess in the outer guidance office. Any interested students are welcome to drop by!

SENIOR BOYS SOCCER-All Sr. Boys Soccer Players please meet in Ms. Probert’s room  (1209) at recess for important information.

JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL-There will be a meeting for all girls interested in trying out for the junior girls volleyball team today at recess in Ms. MacKinnon's room 2211. 

STUDENT FORMS AND FEES-Teachers are not accepting student forms or fees, they will be accepted only at the main office during recess and lunch. The deadline is Thursday, September 27th. Students that have not met the deadline will not be eligible to attend the October 4th Dance.

SOCCER TRYOUTS-Jr. Boys and Sr. Girls Soccer tryouts will be held Monday, September 17th from 3-4:30pm at the MRHS field. The final Junior Girls Soccer tryout will take place Monday, September 17th from 3:10-4:30pm on the MVEC field. All are welcome! Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation home after practice.

PICTURE DAY-Picture Day at MRHS will take place on Tuesday, September 25th.

MRHS BOOK CLUB-MRHS's Book Club is Back! Every Wednesday at 12:10pm join Mr. Moore and staff from the Halifax Regional Library as they discuss the plots of books that Book Club members have chosen to read.  You will be able to eat your lunch while discussing exciting cliff-hangers or morbid endings.

REPORTING AND EXCUSING STUDENT ABSENCES-If a parent or guardian wishes to report and/or excuse a student absence, please call the attendance line – available 24 hours a day – by dialing the main school telephone number and pressing “1.” Written notes will also be accepted at the main office. In order for an absence to be excused, we must receive notice within three school days of the absence. Emails and calls to the main office line will not be accepted.

HELP KEEP OUR HALLWAYS CLEAN-Students are asked not to leave their book bags and/or knapsacks in the hallways unattended. Food and drinks are permitted in the cafeteria and outside only, please be sure to utilize the recyclable and garbage bins available throughout the building. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter!

POTENTIAL GRADS-SCHOLARSHIPS & BURSARIES-Potential Grads are reminded to check in the outer guidance office for scholarship/bursary applications on the "Scholarship Table". Please see Ms. MacKenzie Boudreau for more information.

SIGN IN-All students are reminded to sign-in at the main office if you arrive after the 8:55am bell, which marks the beginning of first class. Even for Senior High students a parent's sign-in signature, phone call, or a note is required when arriving late.

ELEVATOR USE-Unless a student has permission from the Main Office and a specific need to use the elevator, it is off limits for student use.
